The Butte County Historical Society will hold its annual general meeting at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 21 at the Butte County Historical Society Museum.
A presentation by Andy Mark during the meeting will discuss flumes in Butte County.
In the 1870s and 1880s, these flumes were used to transport lumber from the mountains to the local sawmills.
There will be a brief update on the Historical Society’s activities in 2021 and plans for 2022.
Following the program, refreshments will be available in the lobby Sierra Lumber Company Flume Keeper’s House.
The museum is at 1749 Spencer Ave. in Oroville.
