President Biden must go all-out and put enormous pressure on the two Democratic senators Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema to vote to lift the filibuster to pass voting rights. If the Senate doesn’t pass those bills, Biden must use his executive authority and implement the provisions himself.
He must unequivocally state that as president he will not allow it that anybody is denied the right to vote, and that he won’t allow it to be that politicians can choose their voters. If Manchin and Sinema can’t even bring themselves to agree to lift the filibuster to pass the voting rights bills, then they are every bit as racist as as the KKK, the Proud Boys, Q-Anon and all of the other right-wing hate outfits including the Republican Party that they now control.
When I say the Republican Party, I’m referring to their politicians and elected officials and not all of the voters, many who disagree with many of the positions that their party now takes.
