This week’s matchup features two of the NFL’s biggest dual threats in Atlanta’s Cordarrelle Patterson and the 49ers’ Deebo Samuel. Both players have found success running the ball as well as catching it this season.

Patterson is the eighth player since the merger with at least 500 yards rushing (547), 500 yards receiving (519) and five touchdown catches and runs through 13 games. Patterson, a former Raiders return man and receiver, has mostly lined up as Atlanta’s running back.

Samuel, meanwhile, has caught 57 passes for 1,028 yards and five TDs while also averaging 7.3 yards rushing with six TDs on 33 carries for the 49ers. However, Samuel has just three catches for 49 yars in his last three games.

George Kittle has become Jimmy Garoppolo’s favorite passing target again as the 49ers tight end has 22 catches for 332 yards and three TDs in the last two games.

A 49ers victory will go a long way toward helping them secure a playoff berth, while the Falcons need to notch their second straight win at Levi’s to get back to .500 and continue their postseason push.
