Free Beer and Hot Wings 5a-10a

Stimpy 10a to 3p
Stimpy’s mother was a rocker and rumor has it that he was conceived at the Monterey Pop Festival in 1967. Rumors still circulate on just whom the father might be, Hendrix, Townsend, Garcia, that guy selling acid in the parking lot. The possible suspects are aplenty. Either way, from an early age, Stimpy found himself drawn to live rock music and the magic that it brings. His love of it led to him to pursue a career in rock radio and he’s been at it in Nor Cal since 1987. Check out Stimpy every weekday from 10am to 3pm on Chico’s Rock Station, 939 The Hippo!
Wheezal Dogg 3p to 7p
Brent “Wheezal Dogg” Gallagher started in radio in 2001. During that time, he has rocked 93.9 The Hippo Chico’s Rock Station from 3pm to 7pm and he has hosted numerous comedy shows. Some have said that Wheez is a walking encyclopedia of music trivia. A music man if you will. It helps that he plays guitar drums and bass. He was always involved in music even at an early age. Wheez started singing in the school choir in first grade and continued throughout his academic years. It came in handy when he accidentally sang in front of one of his vocal idols during a LIVE in studio interview. One of (as he says) his most embarrassing moment in his radio career. An avid pool player and a live music junkie, Wheez in just a plain simple term… Likes to rock!!!!

hardDrive XL with Lou Brutus 7p to 12a

Lou Brutus is a true renaissance man… he is the award-winning host of the nationally syndicated radio programs “hardDrive” which airs on weekends and is in its 20th year on the air, and “hardDrive XL” which is broadcast 5-nights a week and is now in its 10th year. Between those two shows, Lou is heard in nearly 120 markets nationwide. He was chosen to be the host of hardDrive because his interview skills were good enough to keep the likes of Maynard Keenan of tool and the legendary Frank Zappa talking up a storm on live radio! He’s an accomplished photographer of both rock bands and of Major League Baseball… He’s also working on some books, is a voting member of NARAS for the Grammys, but most of all he’s got radio in his bloodstream… he is the one and only Lou Brutus!

Home to artists like Jimi Hendrix, Nirvana, Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Candlebox, The Murder City Devils and so many more- she quickly found her calling in the Rock Radio scene and developed a serious addiction to live music. This led the way to a career in radio, where she’s been producing audio, directing music, interviewing bands, giving out sweet swag and sitting behind the mic for the better part of 12 years. In her free time you can catch her hiking one of the various trails in the north state, kayaking on Lake Oroville, or rocking out to the latest show at the Senator.
